Coach Julian’s impatient and abrasive attitude is annoying everyone, and when Claire’s mom arrives, she too is surprised to find herself being ordered around. Claire’s injury isn’t improving as fast as she would like, but Luke reminds her that life will go on even after her sporting career.

Jennifer is doing a great job with the kids, but her boyfriend, Quinn, is angry that she’s forgotten all about their plans. Newly arrived in Paris, Mandy receives the news that her parents won’t be coming to help out, and wants to fly home immediately, abandoning her vacation, and, very possibly, her husband Brian.

Claire has trouble with the systems that her husband Phil installs in their house, and her impatience and frustration is only made worse by Phil's patronizing way of explaining them.

At the gathering in the town square, Lou takes a liking to Claire’s mom, and Claire can introduce her mom to Chamonix and Luke. Coach Julian, however, has not relaxed into the festive spirit, and his mood worsens when his attempts to show off fail.

Mandy has booked a flight home the following morning, and can no longer avoid a difficult conversation with husband, who wants her to stay for the romantic honeymoon he’s been waiting for. Back home, Jennifer drops Flo off at a birthday party.
