Claire Benson is a young ice skater whose life revolves around training and making it to the next world figure skating championship. Her coach pushes her hard to succeed, while her mother worries that she might not be living life to the full outside of her sport.

Claire’s injury is serious and this time she can’t just push through it. Coach Julian sends her to the best rehab clinic available, which to Claire’s annoyance is in a remote location in the mountains! Just getting there through the snow proves to be a challenge.

High in the snowy mountains, the West Ridge rehabilitation clinic is a lot more relaxed than Claire would like it to be, especially with the pressure of Nationals coming up. When it looks like the rehabilitation plan will simply take too long, she calls up her coach. In the meantime Luke is back, this time delivering logs for the fire.
