Sheldon and Amy film their first episode of "Fun with Flags," a show about "the dynamic world of vexillology." However, they keep getting interrupted by Sheldon's roommate Leonard.

Sheldon’s friend actor Will Wheaton agrees to be a special guest on the show. But for Sheldon's girlfriend Amy, who is the director, Will can’t seem to do anything right. She criticizes his acting, leaving Sheldon in an uncomfortable situation.

As another unfortunate special guest falls short of director Amy’s exacting standards, neighbor and "flag virgin" Penny takes a turn, but her attempts to guide Sheldon towards a more relaxed and open style of presenting backfire.

Sheldon can no longer take the pressure of producing his show "Fun with Flags" alongside a full-time career and having a girlfriend. So, after only two hundred and thirty two episodes, it’s finally the last in the series. Sheldon is full of emotions, but mostly still mad at Amy for failing to press “record” and ruining his “Fourth of July Spectacular.”

After some flag-related fun and games, the final episode of "Fun with Flags" draws to a close and Sheldon is overcome with emotion.

A change of location and a new house band all add to the spectacle of Sheldon and Amy's show "Fun with Flags." Sheldon hopes that this new spirit of togetherness, along with a theme of regions uniting under a flag, will broaden the show’s rather limited audience.

Sheldon regrets rashly offering Leonard the option of taking any item he wants from the apartment. Leonard takes the apartment's official flag, which Sheldon designed, and uses it to torment Sheldon.
